I never really liked them as I prefer ones with combat or open world stuff where you can destroy what you like, but however old this game is, it’s gold! The options, customisation of your character, Disciplines (I played a Toreador), and all the powers make it epic. Thank you so much for putting such an awesome game here! I’ll most likely play it again very soon with a different character setup and powers, I used patch 9.9 for this one. This is an epic game and one which will remain with me for many years to come.

I have a problem with the game. After I installed it and completed the tutorial I wanted to take some items from the drawer in the apartment. As soon as I clicked on,Take item” the game crashed. Tried it again, same thing happened. I tried every compatibility mode and run as administrator, still didn’t work. After that I downloaded the unofficial patch, version 10.4( I think it’s the last) from MODDB, and still didn’t work.

After I installed the patch the game crashed when I tried to take an item from the safe in the tutorial. Has anyone heard of this problem?

I'd like to tell that if someone can't run the patch under Win10, he can't run the clear game too, and it's general compatiblity problem. I'd tell more, Win10 rather brings more problems than benefits at all, while it's rather one big trojan and spyware than the normal OS:)Wesp5:Why still we needed to carry various dll copies (engine, client/server) with patch, when the loader recommended itself as the stable launch base both with original 1.2 dlls? Since all of their fixes are duplicated in the loader, they rather creates problems than brings the use.

Hm, and will steam's exe work normally on non-steam game versions? As far I know, there are many problems of steam game versions (not existing in non-steam one, like in-game unexpected script issues and memory leaks) are connected to this exe that contains another protection, so this may bring them to non-steam game too.

For me, it's better to use Troika's original 52 kb Vampire.exe (pre-SafeDisc) that not contains any kinds of injections, and it's better experienced with the mod loader. People tested it on my russian build on Win10 and everything is work fine. I don't remember how I got this file, but I can send it you, if needed. This will also free us from Steam.dll fix in the root since it not contains any Steam links inside.
